Technology in OER: New Infrastructure and Business Adoption

ENCORE+ is envisioning a new infrastructure for open educational resources (OERs) in which technology plays an essential role. To support this goal, possible technological scenarios have been analysed by means of a literature review, interaction and discussion with identified stakeholders, and the evaluation of cutting-edge technologies available in the consortia. This work was conducted with […]

Mapping the European OER Ecosystem

A key part of the ENCORE+ project lies in taking up and sharing different stakeholder perspectives. Perhaps there is no single correct way to think about these groups as there are many ways to divide up a large base of stakeholders (and potential stakeholders). But I think it might be of interest to share how our models have shifted in response to interactions with ENCORE+ communities and elements of the wider OER ecosystem.

Awareness, Experience and Organizational Maturity of Open Education

Data analysis of different attitudes and preferences Current research is lacking to provide such individual target profiles representing subjective preferences of usage as well as awareness and expectations (Mishra et al. 2016). One crucial factor in the uptake of OER in higher education and business are the different preconditions that various stakeholders bring to the […]

Technological solutions for OER repositories: the H5P hub proposal

During our first live event (click here to watch the recording) we talked about the issues affecting OERs, with the result of a potential negative user experience. Obviously, this situation doesn’t help if we want OERs to become pervasive in the educational scenarios. ENCORE+ Technology Circle main question is “how technology can help?” There is more […]
